Heddy Swigger, MSW, RSW, CPT, CPT-S, is a Certified Play Therapist and Play Therapy Supervisor with the Canadian Association for Play Therapy and a Certified Filial Therapy Instructor. She is the founder and clinical director of Tessellate Child and Family Therapy, a group practice specializing in child and family mental health.
Heddy has extensive clinical experience working with children and families across a wide range of presenting concerns and is deeply committed to bridging theory and real-world practice. Heddy primarily utilizes Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) and Filial Therapy in her work with children and families. In addition to her clinical work, she regularly teaches and supervises undergraduate and graduate students, provides supervision to practicing clinicians, and facilitates intensive workshops in Child-Centered Play Therapy, Filial Therapy, and Working with Parents of Children in Therapy. She has also served as an instructor for CAPT’s Foundational Training Program, receiving consistently strong feedback for her teaching style and course content.
