I employ a humanistic approach to service delivery believing in each individuals capacity to heal themselves. My play therapy approach is predominantly child-centered, meaning that I follow the child’s lead while providing a safe therapeutic healing space where feelings and experiences can be explored, processed and integrated. Specific coping skills are also taught by incorporating interventions from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Theraplay. Throughout service, I maintain a non-judgmental, anti-oppressive, culturally sensitive, and trauma informed lens. I am fully committed to providing compassionate client focused care to children and families.
