Scope of Practice:
I work with children ages 5 and up, teens, and their families using a trauma-informed, play-based approach. I believe that healing happens best when families are involved, so I take a systems approach—bringing parents and caregivers into the process in meaningful ways to help strengthen relationships, build emotional regulation, and support connection.
I use a systemic lens in all aspects of my work, actively involving caregivers and family members in the therapeutic process. I believe that sustainable change occurs when the child’s environment—particularly their relationships with primary attachment figures—is integrated into the therapeutic journey. To this end, I offer caregiver consultations, parent-child sessions, and family-focused interventions that strengthen connection, enhance communication, and promote emotional regulation.
In therapy, I draw upon evidence-based modalities such as Play Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). My work is deeply rooted in attunement, safety, and respect, and I tailor my interventions to meet the emotional, cognitive, and relational capacities of the children and families I work with.
I am grateful to be in this field and to walk alongside families during some of their most vulnerable and transformative moments. It is an honour to create spaces where children can express themselves freely, caregivers can feel empowered, and healing can unfold through play, connection, and compassion.
