Scope of Practice:
Lindsay Gladding (she/they) is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She comes to the practice of play therapy after working for almost 20 years in child-focused humanitarian and disaster response. This work gave them the awesome privilege of supporting children and families all over the world, where she witnessed the power of play in helping children to communicate, to process their emotions and experiences, and ultimately to heal. Lindsay is passionate about supporting children, adolescents (and their grown-ups), to discover and nurture their innate strengths. Their play therapy practice is rooted in Child Centered Play Therapy. With older children and adolescents Lindsay engages an integrated play therapy approach drawing on the therapeutic modalities of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Narrative Therapy, as they develop an approach uniquely tailored to each client’s strengths and needs.
